Law enforcement officials in particular know how difficult access to the true cause of an evil can be. In their case, they often grant immunity to "relative innocents" in order to gain access to the true cause of the evil, the higher ups, boss, gang leader, whatever. Our definition of fascism: arbitrary elitism does it's job well. It's companion phrase "INCONSISTENT WITH" as in: probably hasn't been doing it's job as well. A segment on the history channel titled NAZI AMERICA: A Secret History seemed to provide the perfect vehicle for driving home exactly what INCONSISTENT WITH means. Matters in each of the three above categories happen in this society. Matters in fact adverse to the fascist agenda do not happen. There is literally a smorgasbord of legal grounds for providing the PonyTail relief. None of them have happened. No surprise. The PonyTail is as anti fascist as anti fascist gets, witness such things as arming the common person with the power of reason (soap box issue - add logic to the school curricula), his penchant for sensitizing the populace to social problems, and the quintessentially anti fascist notion of replacing the elective process with a lottery/draft selection process. The NAZI AMERICA production gave an excellent illustration of the first and third categories above. It traced the development of nazism from approximately 1920 and disclosed direct connections between the activities in the US and Hitler. It showed the US activities replete with swastikas, rhetoric, and nazi style uniforms. This actually benefits the fascists in America, because it diverts attention from them. It happens. Another thing that "happened" was that when Skokie, Illinois refused to give the nazis a permit for a march in Skokie (selected I believe because it had the highest per capita population of jewish people) the ACLU represented them in the courts - 1st. amendment, of course. The ACLU lawyer, you guessed it, was jewish. Oh my, how free this society is. And represented by a Jew yet! Oi vey! I have no reason to believe American fascists support the nazi activities in the US any more than you or I do, so I am not saying that representation of the nazis by the ACLU was something that actively promoted the fascist agenda. I am saying that the PonyTail has sought assistance from the ACLU on numerous occasions. There has been none. The unlawful suspension is per se a denial of freedom of speech. Recently, on about September 15th. it became impossible to post DMs on the Switchboard.com message boards. Resumption of posting on the boards did not resume until November 21st. (Messages had been posted on the boards from about February 1st. until then.) Just a few days ago, my ISP wrongfully terminated my account. The activities interfered with had one, and only one, purpose: to save my life. The ACLU has consistently refused to provide assistance. You and I both know of beau coup instances of the ACLU providing assistance for very silly purposes. I'd bet the family farm they've even volunteered to provide such assistance. The point is, look at the things that happen. They are like the Skokie representation, or worse. In reality, virtually inconsequential matters. Yes, some of them are searing experiences, but still they have no lasting effect, they don't change anything. Contrast Skokie with the present, an effort which seeks to put America on a track by which it could actually become a reasonable facsimile of a democratic society. Amendment. (Applies to criminal trials; the underlying issue in law is deemed quasi criminal.) While we're on the 6th. Amendment, let's not forget that it gives the accused the right to "be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation". The closest we get to that is a pre-trial Motion for mental examination, basically what is known as "a fishing expedition". And, the motion was denied. Worse yet, the 6th. Amendment is supposed to guarantee the accused the right to be "confronted by" the witnesses against him. Who is it that is accusing him, and exactly and precisely what is their accusation. That can't happen when the matter is actually withdrawn from issue, pre-trial, can it. And then there's the 5th. Amendment ... Let's see now, they've completely trashed the 1st. Amendment right to petition for redress of grievances, a petition to correct trashing of the 6th. Amendment, trashing of the 5th. The DMs for the 24th. and 25th. have been completed; there are six DM's in some stage of completion in the que, that leaves only today and a sabbath DM. Those in the que, while informative, just were not right for the occasion. Reflection upon my review of the Constitution yesterday though gave me an idea I was comfortable with. Is not the essence of the stonewalling in this case secrecy? If it isn't known, it is secret. Has there been a secret trial? There hasn't been a public one. Are they saying, yes we know the stated basis is oxymoronic and of course that isn't the real reason but surely you know we have this secret reason we can't tell you about? The Constitution really isn't all that long, and I speed read almost all of it yesterday. An overwhelming impression was that our forefathers said be done with what amounts to the secrecy of tyrannical government, we must have an open government, a public government in order that all know clearly and unequivocally what is going on. Open. Not secret, but open. All those references to freedom. Freedom is openness. Is that not what our forefathers had in mind. We frequently here references to our "open" society, don't we.
